Foreign Patient Travel Assistance

Support is provided at a rate of 60% and a maximum limit of 24,000 ₺ per patient for patients brought for treatment by health institutions that have signed a protocol with the Ministry and health tourism intermediary organizations.

• In order to benefit from the support, a treatment invoice higher than the flight ticket amount must be issued and half of the flight ticket amount must be paid to the patient or shown as a discount on the invoice.

Support applications to support the economy class transportation expenses of international patients (health tourists) treated in Turkey are made through DYS (Support Management System) together with the Patient Travel Support Application Documents by the health institution that has signed a protocol with the General Directorate.

In order to benefit from patient travel support, the patient must be registered to enter the healthcare institution within 7 (seven) days from the date of entry into the country. Otherwise, support will not be available.

In order to benefit from the support, the patient must be invoiced for 2 times the progress payment amount.

The health institution that wants to make a protocol within the scope of Patient Travel Support applies through DYS (Support Management System) with its activity permit and the "Patient Travel Protocol (ANNEX-13A)" signed by the authorized/authorities leaving the date blank. Support applications are made after the approval received through DYS following the signing of the protocol.

The start date of patient travel support will be based on the earliest date of entry into the country for international patients who are subject to the first support payment. It will end 5 years from this date. International patient entries from the period before this date will not be supported.
