Definitions and Support Elements for Cultural and Creative Industry Services

Registration and protection support
Expenses related to the registration and protection of the beneficiaries' products, services or domestically registered trademarks abroad are supported at a rate of 50% and a maximum of 600,000 TL per year.

Support for market entry documents
Beneficiaries' expenses related to documents, certificates or accreditations determined by the Ministry are supported at a rate of 50% and a maximum of 600,000 TL per year,

Agency commission support
Agency commission expenses related to the sale and distribution of the beneficiaries' productions in the film sector abroad are supported at a rate of 50% for a maximum of 5 years and a maximum of 720,000 TL per year.

Unit support
The gross rent and commission expenses, including taxes, duties and fees, of up to 5 units of the beneficiaries and the certification expenses related to the opening and/or operation of the units are supported at a rate of 50% for a maximum of 5 years and at a maximum amount of 600,000 TL per unit per year.

Support for anti-piracy expenses
The protection expenses of the producer or distributor companies that own the intellectual property rights of the films screened abroad or are authorized for the use of these rights within the scope of anti-piracy are covered at a rate of 50% for a maximum of 3 films per year for a maximum of 5 years and a maximum amount of 240.000 TL per film.

(2) For animation films, the support specified in the first paragraph shall be applied at the rate of 60%.

Support for dubbing or subtitling expenses
Dubbing or subtitling expenses of film distributors and/or production companies related to the marketing of a film abroad shall be supported at a rate of 50% for a maximum of 2 films per year for a maximum period of 5 years and at a maximum amount of 240.000 TL per foreign language.

(2) Film distributor and/or producer companies shall benefit from the support element regulated in the first paragraph for the same film for a maximum of 8 foreign languages in total within the scope of dubbing and subtitling expenses.

(3) In the event that dubbing and subtitling expenses are incurred by the sales agency abroad pursuant to a contract and invoiced to the film producer or distributor company, such expenses shall be supported at the same rate and amount.

(4) For animation films and documentary films promoting the social, historical, cultural and commercial promotion of Turkey, the support specified in the first paragraph shall be applied at the rate of 60%.

Support for film plateau and studio usage expenses
Rental expenses related to the rent of the film plateau/studio for foreign films shot or produced in Turkey shall be paid at the rate of 20% and amounting to 2.400.000 TL per film.

(2) The support payment mentioned in the first paragraph shall be made directly to the company residing in Turkey operating the movie plateau/studio.

Advertising, promotion and marketing support
The expenses of the beneficiaries and cooperation organizations for advertising, promotion and marketing activities abroad are supported for a maximum of 5 years at a rate of 50% for beneficiaries and a maximum of 4.800.000 TL per year, and 60% for cooperation organizations and a maximum of 6.000.000 TL per year.

Foreign event participation support
Expenses related to the overseas events determined by the Ministry in which the beneficiaries and cooperation organizations participate individually or at national level, at a rate of 50% and a maximum of 180,000 TL per event, if the event is one of the prestigious events determined by the Ministry, a maximum of 3 prestigious events abroad in a calendar year

expenses related to the event are supported at a rate of 50% and a maximum of 360.000 TL per event.

National participation promotion support
Promotion expenses of cooperation organizations and national participation organizers for the national participation event determined by the Ministry are supported at a rate of 60% and a maximum of 1.200.000 TL per event.

Product placement support
Product placement expenses in feature films, documentaries, TV series, animated films and program formats and digital games screened abroad are supported for a maximum of 5 years at a rate of 50% and an annual maximum of 1.200.000 TL for beneficiaries and 70% and an annual maximum of 2.400.000 TL for cooperation organizations.
